Meet David, your removal home expert!

David has lived in South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, where he has been based since 1986. With full real estate and building licenses, and 39 years in residential construction, David is well-equipped to guide you through every step of the process.

  • 1986 – Managing and supervising residential construction 
  • 2001 – Joined Drake Removal Homes as a sales consultant, contributing his industry knowledge
  • 2023 – Purchased Drake Removal Homes, now leading it as owner and operator.

David’s true passion lies in educating people on the home removal process. He believes that understanding every step can make the journey smoother and allow people to feel more confident as they navigate their home removal journey.

Married with three kids, when he’s not educating clients, David can be found bushwalking, enjoying the great outdoors, or hitting the gym.

History

Drake Removal Homes started as a small family business and now has a long history of over 50 years in building, house relocation and sales and marketing.

  • In fact the company was started in Brisbane by Keith Drake back in 1971. Keith was well known and respected as a house builder, importer and timber retail business owner. Keith discovered a need for house removal services in Brisbane, and Drake Removal Homes was born.
  • In the 1970’s and 1980’s, the business was located in Logan City.
  • Then, in 1990 It was relocated to a site on the Pacific Hwy at Loganholme, just north of Beenleigh.
  • In 2001 David Fair joined the business as a sales consultant, later becoming General Manager.
  • In 2015 Keith’s son Guy took over the business and it then became a purely removal home sales and marketing operation, finding and securing suitable homes for removal and helping to facilitate relocation of those homes to their new owners. David Fair continued in his role as General Manager.
  • In 2023 Purchased the business from Guy and now owns and operates the business himself.
